Marvel at the world’s only preserved 17th century ship at Vasa Museum or walk in the footsteps of one of the most influential bands in the history of pop music at Abba the Museum.

The currency in Sweden is the Swedish KronaWhen planning your visit to Sweden you have a number of options, which you can either sort out before you travel or while you’re there. Cash is used in Sweden but not as much as it is in other European countries such as Spain with some places only taking card payments. Although we suggest purchasing your currency before you travel, there are plenty of places where you pick it up in Sweden if you run out of time. Card is also widely accepted, particularly in the main cities, but we always advise paying in the local currency as the exchange rate is usually better. Alternatively, you can always purchase a travel money card, which is a great way to keep all of your holiday spends in one, secure place.
