Weather in Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s climate varies between the coast and inland. The Black Sea beaches have lower rainfall and higher temperatures than the rest of the country. Summers are hot, with temperatures over 30ºC and ten hours of sunshine a day.

Spring and autumn are cooler but you’ll still see plenty of sun. Winter winds from Russia bring cold temperatures and rain, which means plenty of snow in the mountains and an average low of -1ºC.
